We have photographed The Fölscher family many times over the last 5 years. Among others we have done their Wedding, Maternity, New Born and Christmas photographs. They requested an updated family portrait shoot, and preferred a pretty outdoor landscape for the portraits.
We arranged a lovely venue in Bishop’s Court to capture the perfect moments for them. The shoot would consist of some couple photos and some beautiful moments of their two year old son in a natural setting, as well as the three of them enjoying time together.
The morning of the shoot was perfect and the weather played along with us; no wind and a perfect sunrise.
Our meeting place and time was set ahead of time. The dreamy yellow sunrise together with the trees, natural pathway and greenery made for exquisite family photographs.
We arrived prepared with posing ideas and briefly chatted about which ones they would like. Emil used Profoto off-camera lighting, which always makes for stunning natural looking photographs; one wouldn’t know that artificial light was used. Lorraine uses a Profoto A1 on-camera flash to assist with fill light.
While Emil photographed the couple, Lorraine and Kayleb, their two year old, ventured to find a more suitable space for him to play. Lorraine always enjoys photographing children in a natural setting with minimal posing.
Emil was able to get stunning photographs with dreamy looks and lovely light. One of his specialties is “getting” the right look. He makes the photographs as opposed to taking them.
Once we had finished with the couple and individual photographs, the family got together to have some fun on the rocks. The brook allowed for wonderous expression from Kayleb, who loves water.
Beautiful family photographs were captured and made. These will now become part of the family memories for many years to come.
