EMIL'S PHOTOGRAPHIC CAREER
I photographed my best friend’s wedding in 1983; this was the start of a love affair with photography. Being the “go-to” photographer for De Beers in Kleinzee and having the opportunity to photograph Mr Nicky Oppenheimer on numerous occasions also served to hone my portrait skills.
When I am not behind the camera you will find me enjoying a Cortado somewhere quaint, reading a novel or wandering around a hardware store getting supplies for my next DIY project; thoughts of my next styled shoot not far off.
Achievements
Among others I was privileged to photograph the wedding of Simon & Estee Coetzer from Survivor SA. A commission from the Mpumalanga Tourist Authority also offered me the opportunity to photograph celebrities: The late Xolani Gwala, Zwai Bala as well as “Baby” from Generations (to mention a few). I have been honoured to have some of my photographs published in international magazines. More recently I photographed the Smile FM presenters and management at the lovely Roodebloem Studios in Woodstock.

Athough a recent convert to the art of photography, I have been taking professional photographs for around 2 years.
Where Emil focuses on portraiture, I am more sensitive to the moment and documents the day as it unfolds; focussing less on portraiture and more on the moment. As a team you are guaranteed to have every aspect of your special day covered.
When I am not behind the camera you will most likely find me down at the beach watching the waves and enjoying the sunset.
